I chose “the Catcher in the Rye” written by
D. J. Salinger in 1951, in America. This is a famous book among American people,
and I think most of students who major in English and literatures study this
work at least once. However I haven’t read it, I don’t even know its story. This
is why I chose this book.
I
will write about the story roughly. The main character is teenage boy who lives
in dormitory. One day he was expelled from school (school told him to quit
school), so he leave dormitory and tries to go back his home.
Actually, I have just finished reading the
begging so I can’t write much about the book. Next week I will try writing a
lot.
I have never heard and read that book before.

However, I studied about American culture in my first year of this University, and I could have a little knowledge.
So I want to try that book with my knowledge.
