The Catcher in the Rye 7

I read chapter 20 and 21 last week.

Holden goes to bar and drinks a lot as usual. In his way to home, he bought a record to his younger sister, Phoebe. He has been lived in NY almost of all his life. He was drunk, so he thought about small things all the way. For example, he doesn’t want to be buried in narrow grave, he doesn’t want people to go dinner after his funeral… and so on. I can’t understand his mind.

After that, he went back to home. Fortunately, his parents were out. He met his lovely sister, Phoebe. She always talks to Holden and he seems to enjoy the conversation too. Holden says Phoebe is a smart girl, but there were a lot of mistakes in her letter. I think he overestimate her.
